 In 1957, Billie M. Butler received her B.S. Degree in Music at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She joined the Capital Church staff in September 1976 as Director of the Capital Church Adult Choir and Special Music. She also serves as organist and pianist for the worship services and plays for weddings and funerals at the Capital Church. Under Billie's direction, the Captial Adult Choir, which consists of more than 50 members, presents special musicals at Easter and Christmas and also participates in the worship services each Sunday. Billie taught private piano for several years which allowed her to teach many of the young people at the Capital Church. Before coming to the Capital, she served as Director of Music at churches in Tarboro, Miami and Raleigh. Billie is married to Ronald Butler and has two daughters, Rhonda and Andrea who is married to Brian Ryder. |
