Our God gives, and so do we.

The ministry we do as a church would not be possible without your generous giving. On this page, you will find why we give & how to give. When you give, you are partnering with us in the life-changing ministry that God is doing here at TCC. We pray that we remain good stewards of what we have been given!

"For God so loved the world that He gave..."

John 3:16

Why We Give

Our God is a giving God! Perhaps the most famous bible verse of all time is John 3:16. God loved the world by giving us Jesus! He lavishes mercy and grace on us. Our very lives are gifts from God. In fact, the Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father! As believers, giving is part of our calling to be more like Him. We give first because He gave.

We give as an overflow of thanksgiving for what He has given us!! It is a necessary part of our surrender and our worship. Giving is also a way that we declare our independence from the powers of material things that threaten to control us. Our giving recognizes that everything we have comes from God and that we can trust Him to provide what we need. Giving should be done from a thankful and cheerful heart. The word Paul uses to describe our attitude in giving is the same word where we get the word ‘hilarious’. God loves a “cheerful” giver. There is no freedom, peace and joy quite like what we experience when we put God first in this area of our lives.

Quick FAQs

  • 2 Cor. 9.7 notes that God desires us to give from a cheerful heart, not a heart of compulsion. Giving to God doesn’t need to be viewed as a ‘have to,’ but as a ‘get to.’ When we give, we are signifying that our income is not our true source, but the Lord is! It is another expression of our submission to Christ.

  • While we still maintain a stance on giving 10% of your income, we also recognize that Scripture is more concerned with the attitude & heart behind why you give. If you were only able to give 1% but you gave cheerfully, we believe God is more pleased with that than giving 10% with a bad attitude!
