Life Groups are where do LIFE together in small communities with the purpose of growing in our love for God and for one another (Matt. 22.36-40). In Life Groups, we carry one another’s burdens, confess our sins to one another, & build one another up in the truth of Christ. Following Christ Jesus was never meant to be done alone!
"A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another..."
John 13:34-35
Life Groups
In Life Groups, we gather together for Fellowship, Scripture, & Prayer, as we believe discipleship must contain these elements! Regardless of the group, these 3 things will be in all of them!
Our Life Group structure contains 2 broad categories: interest & development groups. Our Interest Groups consist of groups that focus their fellowship around a certain activity, such as pickleball or hiking. In these groups, Fellowship, Scripture, & Prayer remain essentials, but activities take up a large portion of the gathering time. These are wonderful groups to join if you are a new believer! We currently are not offering any interest group this semester, but we will in the near future!
As for our Development Groups, fellowship is primarily focused around content. We offer sermon-based groups, book study groups, & Bible study groups. Regardless of content, Fellowship, Scripture, & Prayer remain at the core. These are wonderful groups to join if you are interested in growing deeper in relationship Christ and with one another!
There is perhaps no greater model for disciple-making community than Jesus & his disciples. In his model, he asked 12 random, Jewish men to follow him. Over the next three years, they spent life together with the Christ, eating dinner, going to weddings, listening to his teaching, doing ministry, and growing in the love for Him and one another. It is the greatest model for community ever created, and this is why our Life Groups meet!
