CYA
We are a YA ministry of authentic followers of Christ helping others find life in him. We are a ministry consisting of college & young professionals, ages 18-30! At CYA, our gatherings consist of fellowship, Scripture, & prayer, and we gather together to grow in our love for God, love for one another, and love for the world!
CYA is where college students & young professionals can learn to become deep disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love one another, and love the world. We meet every other Sunday @ 6 PM! If you are looking for community as a new adult, we would love for you to join us.
We weren’t meant to follow Christ alone! SEE YA AT CYA!
1. Loving God
We desire to develop disciples of Christ who love God above all else. As the Greatest Commandment (Mark. 12.30, Matt. 22.37), this is our highest calling. We do this by gathering together for worship & committing our lives to following Jesus.
2. Loving One Another
Proper love for God always leads to loving one another. As the second Greatest Commandment (Mark 12.31, Matt. 22.38), this is our second highest calling. We accomplish this by spending time in small groups, praying for one another, playing games with one another, and spending time with one another outside of our worship gathering!
3. Making Disciples
As our Great Commission (Matt. 28.18-20), our mission is to develop disciples who love God & who love one another. We accomplish this through regular bible study & preaching, small groups, prayer, worship, and spending life together.
4. Family Ministry
We believe that the family unit is critical to the development of students. Partnering & engaging parents in youth ministry is incredibly important, as we are to come alongside you in your leading/parenting of your student. In this, we desire to resource, encourage, and pray for you. Youth ministry is not meant to replace parenthood - it is to support it! Therefore, this will be a ministry not only for teenagers, but for their parents also!
5. Prayer & Worship
It is our heart for Capital YTH to be marked by a culture of worship & prayer. We desire to be a ministry where Christ is glorified, and where his people commune with Him in worship & in prayer. We want to be a praying & worshipping community!

Small Groups
During our gathering time, we split up into smaller groups based on gender in order to offer a more intimate setting. During these times, we pray for one another, bear one another’s burdens, confess our sins to one another, and build one another up in truth.
Serve
Serving in YTH ministry is challenging, yet so rewarding. Students need strong men & women to lead them into greater love for Christ. At an age where students are susceptible to the lies of culture - and of the enemy - strong leaders are incredibly important!
Some students may have very difficult home situations, and as a YTH leader, you may be the closest thing to father/mother figure they have! If you believe God is stirring your heart to lead the next generation into deeper relationship with Jesus, click the link below or visit our Next Steps table!
Quick FAQs
