Capital YTH
Capital YTH is a YTH ministry of authentic followers of Christ who help other teens find life in him. Our heart is to develop young disciples of Jesus Christ who love God & love one another! For anyone grades 6-12 - this is the place for you!
Our services consist of worship, Scripture, prayer, small groups, & games! Wednesday evenings are the number 1 way students can build relationships with one another & hear from God’s Word.
What we believe determines how we do ministry.
Our core values are:
1. Loving God
We desire to develop disciples of Christ who love God above all else. As the Greatest Commandment (Mark. 12.30, Matt. 22.37), this is our highest calling. We do this by gathering together for worship & committing our lives to following Jesus.
2. Loving One Another
Proper love for God always leads to loving one another. As the second Greatest Commandment (Mark 12.31, Matt. 22.38), this is our second highest calling. We accomplish this by spending time in small groups, praying for one another, playing games with one another, and spending time with one another outside of our worship gathering!
3. Making Disciples
As our Great Commission (Matt. 28.18-20), our mission is to develop disciples who love God & who love one another. We accomplish this through regular bible study & preaching, small groups, prayer, worship, and spending life together.
4. Family Ministry
We believe that the family unit is critical to the development of students. Partnering & engaging parents in youth ministry is incredibly important, as we are to come alongside you in your leading/parenting of your student. In this, we desire to resource, encourage, and pray for you. Youth ministry is not meant to replace parenthood - it is to support it! Therefore, this will be a ministry not only for teenagers, but for their parents also!
5. Prayer & Worship
It is our heart for Capital YTH to be marked by a culture of worship & prayer. We desire to be a ministry where Christ is glorified, and where his people commune with Him in worship & in prayer. We want to be a praying & worshipping community!

Life Groups
We desire to see students grow in their love for God and one another. We also believe in the transformational power of small groups. Our YTH Life Groups are aimed at further building disciples of Jesus who love God and who love one another. They are split by grade & gender, with a desired 1-5 ratio of leader to student.
Students need close community just like adults do - Life Groups are where we build that community!
Serve
Serving in YTH ministry is challenging, yet so rewarding. Students need strong men & women to lead them into greater love for Christ. At an age where students are susceptible to the lies of culture - and of the enemy - strong leaders are incredibly important!
Some students may have very difficult home situations, and as a YTH leader, you may be the closest thing to father/mother figure they have! If you believe God is stirring your heart to lead the next generation into deeper relationship with Jesus, click the link below or visit our Next Steps table!

It is the other building behind the main sanctuary!
We welcome anyone in middle & high school - 6th-12th grades!
Our services are aimed at being done no later than 8:30 PM, but students are welcome to stay as long as they want!
We are in the process of doing some very exciting things in YTH, including making space during the week for students to be at the church. In the future, we plan on providing a Sunday Morning teaching time. We also plan on opening the YTH center at times during the week for students to spend time with one another, work on homework, etc. These things are still in progress, but it’s an exciting time at Capital YTH!
