Service is a critical characteristic of a follower of Christ. Jesus describes Himself not as someone who came to be served, but as someone who came to serve.
Jesus Christ is the greatest example of a servant, willing to give His time, resources - and His life - for others. The least we can do is serve the One who gave His all for us.
Serve Teams
Capital Connections
Our Connections Team consists of all of our Guest Experience teams on Sunday Morning! The Connections Team has many smaller teams you can be part of: parking, greeter, coffee, usher, Next Step, & safety! This is an excellent team to join if you’re interested in serving for the first time!
Life Group Leaders
Our LGLs consist of seasoned leaders who lead one of our Life Groups, which are small communities aimed at developing disciples who love God and who love one another. They are the front line for building discipleship-oriented community @ TCC! It consists of leading a group of 8-15 people weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly! If you are interested in further building discipleship-oriented community, this is the place to serve.
Kids Volunteer Team
Our Kids Crew consists of all of our Kid’s Ministry workers! This team consists of Crew workers, greeters, small group leaders, pre-K & nursery workers! There are opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings @ 10:30 & Wednesday evenings @ 7 PM! A background check will be required for anyone wanting to serve in Kids Ministry, but if you are interested in serving the next generation of Christ followers, this is the place to serve!
YTH Adult Leadership
Our YTH ALT consists primarily of small group leaders, with the primary role of engaging & discipling our YTH during our Wednesday evening YTH service! A background check is also required for service on this team, but if you’re interested at discipling middle & high school students, this is the team for you!
TCC Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry is a major community outreach as part of TCC, and it is an extension of the North Carolina Food Bank! The Food Pantry operates from 9AM-12PM on Tuesday & Thursdays, and there is always space to serve. Whether it is bagging food, checking people in, serving as a driver to pick up food, or praying for people, the Food Pantry is a wonderful place to serve if you’re interested in helping the local community in a very practical way!
Media Team
Our Media Team makes our online presence @ TCC happen on Sunday mornings! There are many ways you can serve here, whether it be in the streaming room or in the sound booth! Opportunities for service include running live sound, ProPresenter, lighting, operating our cameras & serving in the live stream room! If you enjoy serving behind the scenes, this is a great place to serve!
Pastoral Care Team
Our Pastoral Care team consists of individuals with a heart to provide care to those in need. Consisting of hospital visitations, home visits, & coordinating food, our care team is a critical aspect of our ministry, being the direct hands & feet of Jesus to those unable to be with us in person.
Quick FAQs
There are a few teams that require you to be a member of TCC, but our Connections, Food Pantry, & Media Teams don’t require membership! If you have a heart to serve but haven’t fully become a member yet, these teams welcome you!
Absolutely! We care about your well being - being before doing - but we also recognize that many of our teams allow for you to serve in another capacity! For example, you could easily serve as a YTH Leader & be part of our Connections Team!
